Sneaker Freaker Magazine Issue 47
Please note: Cover will be selected at random, articles/content is identical.
The collector features in Issue 47 offer wildly different perspectives. In Berlin, Julia Schoierer has assembled an impressive vault of vintage Nikes and 80s adidas hoops classics. Her analytical deconstruction of the real-life Tetris game in her apartment is an honest counterpoint to the image of ‘perfection’ often portrayed online. On the other side of the world, Malcolm Hargrove is a man on a mission, snatching up every unconsummated catalogue gem he fiended over as a youngster in Mississippi. With a predilection for hitherto unloved DC, éS, iPath and Circa sneaks, his 400-strong fleet of millennium-era relics is suddenly back in vogue.
We’ll also take you on a fast-paced trip through the HAL Studios x ASICS colab, a complete New Balance 550 history lesson, hand-made shoes by Goods and Services, Zhijun Wang’s sneaker masks, custom sneakers by North Carolina’s Color Me Fresh and 3-D bubble kicks. Even more importantly, Issue 47 is where we finally introduce our triple-header colab with atmos. It’s been a looooong minute since the last Sneaker Freaker shoe hit the streets, so the ‘Alley Cats’ is a timely treat.
